Family Portrait Photography – Westbury White Horse Rugby Club, Wiltshire – 20th July 2014

One gorgeous sunny day in July I met up with four amazing families for one of my family photography sessions at Westbury Rubgy Club, Wiltshire. This was the first time I had worked here, so I was not sure what to expect, but with the stunning views of the rolling hills of Wiltshire and the famous Westbury White Horse as I backdrop I wasn’t disappointed!

When I photograph families in one of these mini portrait sessions they each get around 20-25 minutes of shoot time and we jam pack in as much fun as we can! It also tends to work well with young children as they have a shorter time when they are happy to be photographed, so this quick shoot time is perfect to capture those happy faces!

The first family booked in for the day I have photographed lots of times in the past couple of years and it really was like being with old friends. They are so used me and to being in front of the camera that everything was very natural and relaxed. Their boys are high spirited and full of fun and being outdoors with them really suited their personalities.

For one couple who are due with their first baby in less than a month we did some some beautiful outdoor pregnancy photography. They had brought their doggie ‘Blue’ who was lapping up the attention and was very good at looking in the right direction at the right time!

For my portrait photography shoots I can also get lots of customer that come back each year and there was one family that had a return visit as last time their little boy was slightly under the weather. This time however he was full of beans and I think again being outside it helped to capture those natural moments with his parents.
