On Saturday I was photographing the wedding of David and Ann in the lovely village of Ramsbury near Marlborough.
It was a chilly but bright February morning – a perfect winters wedding day!!
I arrived at the house and was able to meet her three children Francesca, Jamie and Brendan. I captured all the details and the hustle and bustle of everyone getting ready and then headed down to Ramsbury Church to get some guests shots and meet up with the Groom and his family.
The florist ‘Martin and the Magpie Flowers’ had completely transformed the church with an amazing archway over the door and the lytch gate, as well as lots more inside.
Ann and Davids plan was to have a relaxed, fun day and to involve their children and grandchildren in to the many parts of the wedding day. Ann’s daughter Francesca was a bridesmaid and her son Jamie gave her away. With Brendan being an usher and doing a lot of the background organising. David’s two sons Paul and Steve were Bestman and Witness so everyone had their role to play.
After a stunning ceremony and a few photographs outside, it was a short walk to the ‘Bell Inn’ for drinks, a warm up with the log fires, a delicious meal and speeches.
It had a cosy, intimate feel to proceedings with me nipping outside to do a few family photographs throughout the afternoon.
For the evening event it was just another short walk around the corner to the Ramsbury Church Hall. David and Ann who both enjoy dance classes had practised an ‘Argentinine Tango’ to wow their guests. It was a beautiful day with lots of gorgeous finishing touches and they were such a welcoming couple to work for. I felt very looked after and I would like to wish Mr and Mrs Clarke a big congratulations!!
